Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of AuthPeak, a free browser extension provided by PeakUse (“we”, “us”). By installing or using AuthPeak, you agree to these terms.

The service

AuthPeak is a local-only tool that stores and generates your two-factor authentication codes on your own device. It has no accounts and no servers; it does not transmit your data anywhere.

Free and “as is”

AuthPeak is provided free of charge and “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.

You are responsible for safeguarding your passphrase and recovery code. Because AuthPeak is entirely local and we hold none of your data, lost credentials cannot be recovered by us — if you lose both your device access and your recovery code, your vault cannot be restored.

Your responsibilities

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PeakUse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, access, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) AuthPeak — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Availability

AuthPeak is a local tool and does not depend on our servers to function. We make no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may update, change, or discontinue the extension at any time.

Governing entity

AuthPeak is produced by PeakUse. These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which PeakUse operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL with a revised “last updated” date.
